Success Story

Last year, Maria, a 15-year-old girl came to WYS because she was depressed, withdrawn, verbally aggressive, un- motivated and not doing well in school. After 8 months of treatment with a mental health professional from WYS, she is able to identify what triggers her depression and anger, and able to use coping skills to deal with these feelings. Her overall mood has improved! She no longer spends hours alone in her room; is more socially active, has increased her grades from one to two grade levels, and has begun to plan for her future.
